October Stamp of the Month Club

Hi Friends! How are you today?

Have you heard about the Stamp of the Month Club here at Stampin’ 365? Each month, club members receive a fabulous Stampin’ Up! stamp set and all the paper supplies to create four cards with envelopes for just $34.95. Everything is pre-cut, neatly packaged and comes with typed directions and a color photocopy of the cards. Club members just add ink and adhesive. (I even include a handmade gift tag, created to match, just for you from thankful me!)

The October Stamp of the Month Club features the beautiful new Basket of Wishes stamps set shown on page 49 of the new Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog. I fell in love with the layouts of the cards shown in the catalog on the same page, so I created my cards based off of them:

October’s ink colors are show above, with crumb cake being the only stamp color and the others being used to color the images with blender pens and ink squished into the lids of the ink pads. I fell in love with the beautiful drawings in this set the moment I saw it and they look beautiful colored or you can leave them plain, if you prefer.

Would you like more information about the Stamp of the Month Club? Click here.

In the club and already have the set? No problem! Simply email me with the substitution of your choice. (Up to $26)

Ready to join in on the fun and start building your stamp collection and handmade card stash? We would love to have you in the club! Email me at stampin365@gmail.com by the 20th of September to join!

Happy stampin’ friends!

I’m a little behind schedule with posting the Stamp of the Month Club and I hope you will accept my sincere apology! My oldest son is not back to health yet and I am struggling to be creative because his illness has been life threatening. Last Friday he had to go back in the hospital, but is home again. He has a new doctor and hopefully we are on the track to getting him well again. On a happy note, my daughter’s heart surgery is healing well and her doctor says it was a complete success! Our littlest one’s surgery was also a complete success and he is back to normal. Many of you have sent your support and prayers for our family and I can not thank you enough!

Thoughtful Banners~ Artisan Blog Hop

Hello, friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Whether you just came from my dear friend Marisa, or this is your fist stop, I hope you will be sure to visit all 20 designers for lots of crafty inspiration!

This week, we had the fun of working with the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and the Duet Banner Punch, which come together as a money saving bundle. In addition to the Thoughtful banners bundle, we also had the fun of working with the luscious Moroccan Suite. The rich colors and coordinating washi tape are just gorgeous.

The Thoughtful Banners stamp set is amazing. You get 46 choices of sentiments in two different fonts, along with four different banners and a shaded stripe. Such a great combination to add to you collection and give you endless possibilities!

For this project, I was rushed and stressed because my oldest son, who has been very ill since August 1st, was in the hospital. So, being in a hurry and a creative fog, I turned to an old favorite of mine, the envelope punch board box. I learned how to make these quick and easy boxes from my wonderful friend, and fellow demonstrator, Jessica Walker. For easy instructions on how to make these fun little boxes yourself, click here.

Thanks for stopping by today! I love sharing ideas with you, so if you are not already a follower, I hope you will click the follow box at the top of the left hand column so you don’t miss a thing! Also, leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Hearing from you always makes my day!

Now it’s time to hop on over and see what my talented friend Rachel has created. You are guaranteed to be amazed!

‘Tis the Season~ Artisan Blog Hop

Tis the Season Stampin365.com

Hello friends, how are you today? It’s time for another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! If you’ve been hopping along, you just came from my dear friend Marisa. This is our “open” week so be sure to visit all 20 designers for lots of inspiration.

For this hop, I created little star ornaments with music note DSP and star framelets. Each point is scored to add dimension.

Tis the Season 5 stampin365.com

For the back side, I used a soft paint brush to brush on a thin layer of multipurpose glue and then sprinkled it with gold stampin’ glitter. Not only does it look pretty, but it makes the ornament a little more sturdy, too.

The clear tiny treat boxes and gold foil doilies are the perfect presentation for these easy little ornaments and I just love they way the gold glitter catches the light.

Gold 1/8″ ribbon and a gold embossed tag add the final touch for a sweet little gift to give at the holidays.

A Reversible Banner With Letters For You

Michelle Long Photo 2

Hi friends, how are you today? Recently, I had the honor of contributing to the Stampin’ Up! corporate blog. Here is my post:

I love making banners, so when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog came out, I could not wait to get my hands on the Letters For You Photopolymer Bundle (Item 142348) on page 137.

Another new product that had me excited was the music note paper from This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (Item 141628). I started with that as the base and added the gorgeous new 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon in Watermelon Wonder (Item 141433), along with the smallest flower and leaf sprig from the Jar of Love Bundle (Item 142342). The ink colors are Watermelon Wonder, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi.

Michelle Long Photo 1

The new Layering Ovals Framelits (Item 141706) really show off the large letters and the new Foam Adhesive Strips (Item 141828) make attaching these beautiful letters a breeze. No more cutting up your Stampin’ Dimensionals!

When I was part way done with the birthday side of my banner, I decided it would be fun to utilize the beautiful Christmas pattern on the back of the music note paper. Now the banner can be used again!

Michelle Long Photo 4

The letters really sparkle in Red Glimmer Paper (Item 121790) and the new Emerald Envy is the perfect shade of green for Christmas projects.

Michelle Long Photo 3

Stampin’ Up! makes it quick and easy to create projects with wow factor. For beautiful banners, I always turn to the Banners Framelits (Item 132173) and Thick White Baker’s Twine (141688).

Whatever the occasion, Letter For You will help you create the right banner to help you celebrate!

Pillow Boxes~ Artisan Blog Hop

Pillow Boxes stampin365.com

Hello friends and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!

Recently, a friend posted an amazing video showing how to make a pillow box using a CD and I just knew I had to make one. Well, they were so much fun I couldn’t stop at one! Using the envelope paper, I made one in each of the 2015-2017 In Colors and embellished them with the beautiful Flourishing Phrases Bundle.

Michelle Long August 2016

Not only were these so much fun to make, but they would make lovely little gifts for a dinner party or little pillow gifts for overnight guests. They are perfectly sized to hold a decadent chocolate or some other little treat to show someone just how much you care.

The envelope paper is thinner and light weight, so I placed a piece of coordinating cardstock in the bottom of the box and added a little doily, trimmed down to fit. Now it’s ready for what ever little treat I decide to give my guests. I can’t wait!

Sadly, I had provided you with the video to make these cute little boxes, but it is no longer available. I am currently at the hospital with my son who has been very ill and here for two weeks now. I can not make any promises as to when I will get the instructions to you, but I have added it to my list of to dos when all is well and I get my precious boy back home.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to hop through all 20 designers so you won’t miss any of the fabulous inspiration for the Flourishing Phrases Bundle and the In Color Envelope Paper.

Now it’s time to go see the lovely and talented Rachel. I can’t wait to see what she has made!

September Stamp of the Month Club and a Plea for Prayer

Designer Tin of Cards 2 stampin365.com

Hello freinds, how are you? I’m a mess. A big, fat, ugly mess.

My 19 year old son, Thomas, who has cerebral palsy, is in the hospital with no diagnosis. It will be two weeks tomorrow since he went to the ER. He has had delirium, fever, and severe agony. They have run every test imaginable, all have been normal. It is literally the hardest thing I have ever witnessed.

On top of that, our seven year old had scheduled open heart surgery August 5th. She did very well and is recovering like a little champ. Her surgeon did not want to wait and, in fact, said she could have had a heart attack, but now her heart will be healthy and strong. She will even be able to do sports when she recovers- which is such good news.

If you follow my blog, you will also know that our three year old son had surgery on July 19th and was not allowed off the couch for two weeks while he recovered. His surgery was successful and he is doing great.

But, as they say, the show must go on, so here is our September Stamp of the Month Club.

Designer Tin of Cards stampin365.com

September will feature the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set, which has some really great sentiments to add to your collection. If you are like me, you can always use more sayings to choose from when making your cards. If you are a club member and already have this set, no problem! Just email me at stampin365@gmail.com and let me know which set you would like to substitute with. (up to $26)

Because I am at the hospital with my son, I can not take any new member this month, I am so sorry. I will however, still send out the invoices on the 15th of August and get the kits in the mail to our current club members the first week of September.

If you would, please say a prayer for my incredible boy. Watching him suffer is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

Saying Thanks~ Artisan Blog Hop

Flourishing Phrases 3 stampin365.com

Hello friends and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

For our “open” week I have a simple but elegant little Thank You gift bag and matching card to share with you. Sometimes, if you need to give several gifts all at once or if you need to put one together at the last minute, it’s nice to have simple projects that go together quickly and easily but show how much you care, and this one does just that!

Flourishing Phrases 4 stampin365.com

The beautiful floral sprig from the Flourishing  Phrases Bundle had been sitting on my work space for awhile and I was dying to create a project that made it the focal point. Then, one day as I was working on another project, the Emerald Envy pattern from the Moracan Designer Series Paper caught my eye and this project popped into my head.

For the gift sack, I used the Gift Bag Punch Board and a piece of 6″ x 12″ DSP. The handles are Thick White Baker’s Twine and the tag was made with a 1-3/4″ circle punch.

Flourishing Phrases 2 stampin365.com

The flourishing Phrases Stamp Set comes with sentiments for five different occasions and coordinating phrases to add to the inside of your card. As I said before, it’s always nice to have projects ideas that go together quickly, and this project does just that.

Thoughtful Branches Teacher Gift 3 Stampin365.com

Hello friends and welcome to a very special Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

This week we have the pleasure of featuring the amazing, limited time bundle by Stampin’ Up! called Thoughtful Branches. This bundle can easily take you through the seasons with so many beautiful images, meaningful sentiments, and lovely dies. Trust me, you need this set!

For my first project today, I created a teacher gift box and tag with the adorable apple tree and cute little apples included in the bundle. September is just around the corner and now I’m ready!

Thoughtful Branches Teacher Gift Stampin365.com

For the clear box, I used a window sheet and a clear tiny treat box for my pattern, adjusting the height to make it tall enough to hold pencils. For the leaves on the tree, I used the polka dot envelope paper. This little tree, with it’s branches peeking through, is the perfect way to show appreciation and send some happiness to someone special.

The amazing thing about this bundle is it’s versatility. You will literally be able to use it year round.

So, let’s keep moving along the seasons, shall we?

After I was finished with my teacher gift, I decided to think about creating something for my all time favorite season, fall.

Thoughtful Branches Fall Stampin365.com

The rich colors in the Moroccan Designer Series Paper and washi tape were just what I needed to created a fall themed greeting card and matching gift bag with the thoughtful Branches Bundle.

Thoughtful Branches Fall 2 Stampin365.com

Die cuts made with washi tape have become one of my favorite new things. I had left over washi tape from my Tin of Cards class, so I used some on the middle leaf. The others were made with patterns from the Moroccan washi tape collection.

I needed just a bit of the Dapper Denim, so I cut the edges off of my ribbon. I love the delicate texture it adds. The leaves on the bag were stamped in Versamark.

You will definitely want to get the limited time Thoughtful Branches bundle before it’s gone! (If you earned any coupons during the July Bonus Days promotions, the Thoughtful branches Bundle is a great choice to use it on!) But whatever you do, don’t let it slip away!

Now it’s time to go visit the lovely and talented Rachel, and be sure to hop though all 20 blogs for inspiration on how you might use this unbelievable bundle!

Many of you have sent heartfelt thoughts and prayers for our youngest and his surgery- thank you! It has been a difficult recovery, but last night he sleep all night for the first time since the surgery last Tuesday. Hooray! He has one more week of not being able to get up and he is only three, so if you think of us, say a little prayer!

Also, for those of you keeping track of our daughter’s heart condition, she has open heart surgery scheduled for the 5th of August. Your thoughts and prayers would be very much appreciated for a successful surgery and smooth recovery time, thank you!
