Yesterday’s card had a 3D flower made with the blossom punch, so today I thought I’d show you how to make it. First, start with the blossom punch in strawberry slush.
Then cut off one petal.
Now punch a hole in the center with the 1/2 inch hole punch.
Next, cut into the center to create a tab.
Apply a piece of sticky strip to the tab.
After that, peel the back off the sticky strip and attach the tab to the back of the flower. It will look like this:
Lastly, gently pull a bone folder against each petal.
For the center, cut a piece of daffodil yellow 6″ by 1/2″ and use the fringe scissors to fringe it, cutting 2/3rds of the way down.
Tightly roll the paper and adhere with multipurpose glue.
Fluff it, adjusting any petals that are too lined up.
Insert the yellow center into the flower and attach with multipurpose glue. I like to attach the flower to my card with hot glue. If it stands up too high off the card, you can trim some of the center off the back of the flower before you glue it. The color combinations for this flower are endless! Be looking for more samples to come.
