Today’s card was inspired by two challenges. The first one was challenge #102 from SUOchallenges and asked for anything created with our “favorite new toys” from Stampin’ Up! My mind started whirling and I couldn’t wait to get started. Then I hopped over to freshlymadesketches and found a beautiful sketch by Jen M. Here is her sketch:
I spent the day feeding kids, cleaning up, then feeding kids again, my mind whirling with ideas all the while. Suddenly, I remembered one of my very “favorite new toys” is the Typeset Designer Series paper. I featured the paper on an earlier post here. This paper is amazing! It is lighter weight than regular designer paper and a dream to work with when making the spiral flower rose. I had been looking for a way to use the pieces with numbers and bold diagonal stripes. Instantly, this card popped into my mind and I scurried off to make it. When I was finished, my hubby told me he would pin it if he saw it, so I was one happy girl! I wasn’t finished until I played with another of my latest toys and made an envelope with the envelope punch board. (Which is new to me and had been on my list for while.)
