Happily, I found another challenge today! I just love seeing the designer’s cards and all of the entries, not to mention my brain starts to go into overdrive with ideas! Today’s challenge comes from Pals Paper Arts. You can visit their exciting blog here. This is the challenge:
Their challenge made me happy because I had just been thinking that maybe, just maybe, I had been over using strawberry slush, but, oh, it’s my favorite! I have always been a pink girl. In college, I was made fun of more than once because I wore so much pink. So yay! I got to make another card with the luscious strawberry slush! And doesn’t it go gorgeously with the pear pizazz and basic black. Yummy!
Tips:
I embossed the blended bloom stamp in black on the strawberry slush and then fussy cut it out. The ribbon was white and I used a sponge dauber with strawberry slush ink to color it to match and then I scrunched it up for a more vintage feel. (Let it dry first, or it will be messy!) The leaves were all detailed with pear pizazz ink and a blender pen. Typeset designer series paper is becoming one of my go to favorites and was the perfect background. Here is a close-up:
