Cupcake Awning Card

Front Awning Card stampin365

Quite some time ago, I found an adorable awning card on Dawn’s blog and I have wanted to make one ever since. More recently, I found this luscious cupcake card and knew I had to make cupcakes with Stampin’ Up! roses for frosting. The two ideas came together, and this card is the result.

I used my own measurements for the awning, using the word window punch as a guide. The wooden frame around the Happy Birthday sign was made using the woodgrain stamp in the new Build A Bouquet stamp set.

For the cupcakes, I used the cupcake builder punch and some leftover retired DSP in crumbcake for the base. I hot glued the roses in place and doubled up on the dimensionals so they would stand out.

I stamped the inside with a lovely stamp from the Balloon Bash set.

Please note: the first time I posted this, I mentioned the modern label punch and included it in my supply list. That was a mistake. (So Sorry!) It is actually the following punch that helps create the darling awning:

When I asked my five year old what she thought of the card she replied, “It looks like a bakery!”

I gave her a very enthusiastic high five because that’s exactly the look I was going for!

Happy stampin’ friends!
