Chalkboard Easel Card

Easel Card Stampin365

These little easel cards have been all over Pinterest for awhile now, and I instantly fell in love the first time I saw one!

I set out to make one for Father’s Day, but quickly discovered that I needed a little help with the dimensions. My first one was too short and fat and my second one was too narrow, so I set out to find someone with instructions and happily, I did!

I owe a huge thank you to Angie at feather tassel for making my life so much easier! You can find her excellent tutorial here.

The great thing about this card is that any sentiment works ( I used Guy Greetings) and you can use up scraps of old paper for the banner.

Tips:

Use grid paper to perfectly line up several photopolymer stamps on your clear blocks.

I used white craft ink, but for an even brighter look you could emboss in white.

The twine is adhered with glue dots cut in half- it works great!

Any woodgrain stamp will work or, if you don’t have one, you can ink up a woodgrain embossing folder.

Supplies:

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy stampin’ friends!

Michelle

    • Well, the easel card was not my original idea, but projects do pop into my head faster than I can create them. (Especially now that I have a precious two year old running around!)
