Hello friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design team blog hop!
Our assignment this week was “May Flowers” so I started with with a clean and simple little 3D flower card created with the Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Bundle and Watermelon Wonder envelope paper.
I snipped each petal down the middle and then curled them with my bone folder.
The center is a circle punch given dimension with a stylus and a dimensional in the center. (This technique was shared at Onstage as a case from the talented Connie Collins.)
I attached it to a simple gift box and then I was stumped as to what to put in it.
It kept me awake one night until it hit me:
I could make washi tape hair clips for my niece who simply adores clips!
The idea was so exciting, I could hardly wait to try it. Here’s what I came up with. what do you think?
The Botanical Builder Framelits are perfect for adorable little girl’s clips, and washi tape makes them stronger than cardstock alone. The retiring Cherry On Top washi tape is just right for these fun, bright clips. (And it was still available when I checked.)
The set below combines the Blossom Bunch Punch and the Botanical Builder Framelits.
These washi tape hair clips are really quite easy. Just place rows of washi tape on whisper white cardstock and run it through your Big Shot. The Big Shot Die Brush makes removing the smaller pieces as easy as pie.
Thanks for stoping by today. It’s so much fun to share my ideas with you. I hope you feel inspired to create some beautiful May flowers of your own.
Now it’s time to go see what Rachel Grandin-Torchet has created to inspire you.
Happy hoppin’ friends!
Michelle
