Recently, I was thrilled to be asked to donate a Christmas Tag Class to a local auction. Talk about a fun class to design. I was like a little kid in a candy store!
The new Holiday Catalog was not yet available to order from, so I designed this class with some of the AMAZING Christmas items in the Annual Catalog.
Each guest will create 20 gift tags that will be presented in this adorable plastic mason jar from www.thesugardiva.com. I’m crazy for that ribbon and those tiny boxwood wreaths! They literally made me squeal the first time I saw them.
And this reindeer? Too cute!
Don’t you just love the shape of the pretty label punch? Gorgeous!
To display the tags, I placed a piece of DSP, scored into a triangle, in the center of the jar and taped the linen thread ties to the inside of the triangle. (I got that idea from a jar of tags I bought at Target last year. Brilliant!)
The DSP insert really helps all the tags to show nicely and this project would be perfect for gift giving.
There are five tag designs all together and class members will create four of each.
In the excitement of the new Holiday Catalog, don’t forget that Stampin’ Up! has a large collection of gorgeous Christmas designs to choose from in the Annual Catalog.
Maybe some of these sets are already in your own collection. Which one is your favorite? (Complete supply list below.)
Happy stampin’ friends!

Thank you Susan!
Which auction?
Food For Lane County
A bit after we talked, I was checking the notifications on my tablet & I saw your blog in the list. Didn’t get to read it til later that night. When I had time to enjoy what I was reading. Such a wonderful presentation. Love what you did with the layered label, Merry Christmas tag. I love the way it looks. Nice to see all of the pictures. I would love to hear what happened at the auction. Like what was raised and how much your tag set earned. Have a great day tomorrow. God bless.
Thank you Jolene- I’ll be sure to update everyone on how the auction went!
Could you please show how you scored the dsp into a triangle and the dimensions.
Thanks.
I will be happy to, Penny! I’ll try to get that posted soon. Thanks for asking!
