A Trio Of Treats With Jar of Haunts~ Artisan Blog Hop

Hello, friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Today we have the fun of featuring the Jar of Haunts stamp set.

One of the things I hear the most from my customers is how they have a lack of time to create, and let me tell you, I can relate! Preparing this blog hop was a prime example. My to do list was long enough to fill a 48 hour day and I was a woman on the run. I needed some Halloween treats, and I needed them fast. That’s where Stampin’ Up! came to the rescue. I pulled out the Jar of Haunts stamp set and got to work.

On a recent trip to our local home store, I had grabbed some adorable, sugar coated candy corn and a box of spooky eyeball gumballs. For the candy corn, I used the gift sack from the Perfectly Wrapped kit and stamped the tag with Jar of Haunts. Then, I grabbed a mini box, filled it with the eyeballs, added the spooky treat tag with baker’s twine, and I had two treats done in no time at all!

Next, I grabbed some mummy cake pops my hubby had brought me from Starbucks (he’s sweet like that) and added the fun candy corn tag. They were quick to color using blender pens and ink pads, and my third treat was ready to give to someone special.

That’s one of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up!  They make it so easy to be creative in a hurry. Nothing shows you care like a homemade gift or treat. Speaking of caring, a big thanks to all of you for the love and care you have shown me regarding my son. He is still sick and has a series of tests at the hospital this week. Your love, prayers and support have meant the world to me!

Thanks for stopping by today. Now it’s time to go and see what the lovely Rachel has created for us. I can’t wait!

Thoughtful Banners~ Artisan Blog Hop

Hello, friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Whether you just came from my dear friend Marisa, or this is your fist stop, I hope you will be sure to visit all 20 designers for lots of crafty inspiration!

This week, we had the fun of working with the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and the Duet Banner Punch, which come together as a money saving bundle. In addition to the Thoughtful banners bundle, we also had the fun of working with the luscious Moroccan Suite. The rich colors and coordinating washi tape are just gorgeous.

The Thoughtful Banners stamp set is amazing. You get 46 choices of sentiments in two different fonts, along with four different banners and a shaded stripe. Such a great combination to add to you collection and give you endless possibilities!

For this project, I was rushed and stressed because my oldest son, who has been very ill since August 1st, was in the hospital. So, being in a hurry and a creative fog, I turned to an old favorite of mine, the envelope punch board box. I learned how to make these quick and easy boxes from my wonderful friend, and fellow demonstrator, Jessica Walker. For easy instructions on how to make these fun little boxes yourself, click here.

Pillow Boxes~ Artisan Blog Hop

Pillow Boxes stampin365.com

Hello friends and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!

Recently, a friend posted an amazing video showing how to make a pillow box using a CD and I just knew I had to make one. Well, they were so much fun I couldn’t stop at one! Using the envelope paper, I made one in each of the 2015-2017 In Colors and embellished them with the beautiful Flourishing Phrases Bundle.

Michelle Long August 2016

Not only were these so much fun to make, but they would make lovely little gifts for a dinner party or little pillow gifts for overnight guests. They are perfectly sized to hold a decadent chocolate or some other little treat to show someone just how much you care.

The envelope paper is thinner and light weight, so I placed a piece of coordinating cardstock in the bottom of the box and added a little doily, trimmed down to fit. Now it’s ready for what ever little treat I decide to give my guests. I can’t wait!

Sadly, I had provided you with the video to make these cute little boxes, but it is no longer available. I am currently at the hospital with my son who has been very ill and here for two weeks now. I can not make any promises as to when I will get the instructions to you, but I have added it to my list of to dos when all is well and I get my precious boy back home.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to hop through all 20 designers so you won’t miss any of the fabulous inspiration for the Flourishing Phrases Bundle and the In Color Envelope Paper.

Now it’s time to go see the lovely and talented Rachel. I can’t wait to see what she has made!

Christmas In July~ Artisan Blog Hop

This Christmas Suite 5 stampin365.com

Hello friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

This week we have the fun of bringing you Christmas in July with the beautiful “This Christmas” Suite by Stampin’ Up!

This Christmas Suite 3 stampin365.com

I started out by making a large star ornament out of the music note paper from the This Christmas Designer Series Specialty Paper. This paper is thinner than other designer series paper and absolutely wonderful to work with, and these ornaments are quite simple to make with the star framelits. Simply cut out the star and score the center of each point.

Next, I decorated a glassein bag with the beautiful new Peace This Christmas stamp set. I fussy cut the boughs and pinecones and added some gold ribbon for the finishing touch. I then created a coordinating card.

This set has the perfect sentiment for the inside of your card, too.

Copper and White~ Artisan Blog Hop

Love and Affection 3 stampin365.com

Hello friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

Have you had a chance to see the new Affectionatley Yours product suite by Stampin’ Up!? It’s on pages 44 and 45 in the new catalog, and it is so pretty!

For this project, I created a piece of wall art with the Floral Affection embossing folder, the Love and Affection stamp set and copper embossing powder. I just love how the copper catches the light.

Love and Affection 2 stampin365.com

The stamp set matches the embossing folder perfectly, so you can stamp you embossed flowers, and the little sprigs of leaves add the perfect touch. I kept this piece very clean and simple by using only shimmery white cardstock and copper.

Full of Love and Affection- Artisan Blog Hop

Love and Affection 2

Hello friends and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

For today’s project we had the fun of creating with the new Affectionately Yours product suite by Stampin’ Up! This suite includes rich colors, beautiful stamps, coordinating washi tape and the beautiful new copper embossing powder. Be still my heart!

Stampin’ Up! embossing powder is a dream to work with. I used it to change gold foil doilies to copper. Simply press the doily, foil side down, into your versa mark pad. Sprinkle with embossing powder and heat set.  I love the way is gleams.

Love and Affection 6

Another fun discovery I had while playing with this beautiful suite was that washi tape is perfect for decorating those little golf pencils. So easy and so cute: I doubt I will ever use a plain pencil again!

Love and Affection 4

I decorated a little notepad and used the fabulous new Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine to attach one of the washi tape pencils.

Love and Affection 3

The paper in this suite is so very pretty. I fussy cut one of the little flower clusters, stamped a few sprigs in the copper embossing powder and added some washi tape and thick baker’s twine for a clean and simple card.

Love and Affection 5

School isn’t out here for a few more weeks, so I envisioned this little set as the perfect thank you gift for a very special teacher. The little container in the middle perfectly holds Hershey’s Nuggets, one in each side.

This set would also make a lovely hostess gift.

Love and Affection

So, what do you think? Are you completely smitten with the new Affectionately Yours Suite by Stampin’ Up!? Do you feel inspired to create some gorgeous projects of your own? Leave a comment and let me know- hearing from you always makes my day!

Now it’s time to go visit the lovely and talented Rachel in France. It’s always so much fun to see what she has created!

Retiring Product: Fun Flower Punch

Fun Flower Stampin365.com

Saying goodbye is always hard for me and that is especially true for the Fun Flower Punch. (Or for any punch, really.)

I especially love making 3D flowers with it. Simply punch out five fun flowers (I prefer envelope paper because it is thinner), snip each petal with your fringe scissors, curl with your bone folder and embellish the center for lots gorgeous wow factor!

This punch was still available the last time I checked, but not for long. The retirement list will be gone after May 31st.

May Flowers- Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Grateful Bunch 2 Stampin365

Hello friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design team blog hop!

Our assignment this week was “May Flowers” so I started with with a clean and simple little 3D flower card created with the Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Bundle and Watermelon Wonder envelope paper.

Grateful Bunch Stampin365

I snipped each petal down the middle and then curled them with my bone folder.

The center is a circle punch given dimension with a stylus and a dimensional in the center. (This technique was shared at Onstage as a case from the talented Connie Collins.)

I attached it to a simple gift box and then I was stumped as to what to put in it.

Grateful Bunch 3 Stampin365

It kept me awake one night until it hit me:

I could make washi tape hair clips for my niece who simply adores clips!

The idea was so exciting, I could hardly wait to try it. Here’s what I came up with. what do you think?

Washi Tape Hair Clips 4 Stampin365

The Botanical Builder Framelits are perfect for adorable little girl’s clips, and washi tape makes them stronger than cardstock alone. The retiring Cherry On Top washi tape is just right for these fun, bright clips. (And it was still available when I checked.)

Washi Tape Hair Clips 3 Stampin365

The set below combines the Blossom Bunch Punch and the Botanical Builder Framelits.

Washi Tape Hair Clips 2 Stampin365

These washi tape hair clips are really quite easy. Just place rows of washi tape on whisper white cardstock and run it through your Big Shot. The Big Shot Die Brush makes removing the smaller pieces as easy as pie.

Thanks for stoping by today. It’s so much fun to share my ideas with you. I hope you feel inspired to create some beautiful May flowers of your own.

Now it’s time to go see what Rachel Grandin-Torchet has created to inspire you.
