Full of Love and Affection- Artisan Blog Hop

Love and Affection 2

Hello friends and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

For today’s project we had the fun of creating with the new Affectionately Yours product suite by Stampin’ Up! This suite includes rich colors, beautiful stamps, coordinating washi tape and the beautiful new copper embossing powder. Be still my heart!

Stampin’ Up! embossing powder is a dream to work with. I used it to change gold foil doilies to copper. Simply press the doily, foil side down, into your versa mark pad. Sprinkle with embossing powder and heat set.  I love the way is gleams.

Love and Affection 6

Another fun discovery I had while playing with this beautiful suite was that washi tape is perfect for decorating those little golf pencils. So easy and so cute: I doubt I will ever use a plain pencil again!

Love and Affection 4

I decorated a little notepad and used the fabulous new Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine to attach one of the washi tape pencils.

Love and Affection 3

The paper in this suite is so very pretty. I fussy cut one of the little flower clusters, stamped a few sprigs in the copper embossing powder and added some washi tape and thick baker’s twine for a clean and simple card.

Love and Affection 5

School isn’t out here for a few more weeks, so I envisioned this little set as the perfect thank you gift for a very special teacher. The little container in the middle perfectly holds Hershey’s Nuggets, one in each side.

This set would also make a lovely hostess gift.

Love and Affection

So, what do you think? Are you completely smitten with the new Affectionately Yours Suite by Stampin’ Up!? Do you feel inspired to create some gorgeous projects of your own? Leave a comment and let me know- hearing from you always makes my day!

Now it’s time to go visit the lovely and talented Rachel in France. It’s always so much fun to see what she has created!

Retiring Product: Fun Flower Punch

Fun Flower Stampin365.com

Saying goodbye is always hard for me and that is especially true for the Fun Flower Punch. (Or for any punch, really.)

I especially love making 3D flowers with it. Simply punch out five fun flowers (I prefer envelope paper because it is thinner), snip each petal with your fringe scissors, curl with your bone folder and embellish the center for lots gorgeous wow factor!

This punch was still available the last time I checked, but not for long. The retirement list will be gone after May 31st.

May Flowers- Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Grateful Bunch 2 Stampin365

Hello friends, and welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design team blog hop!

Our assignment this week was “May Flowers” so I started with with a clean and simple little 3D flower card created with the Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Bundle and Watermelon Wonder envelope paper.

Grateful Bunch Stampin365

I snipped each petal down the middle and then curled them with my bone folder.

The center is a circle punch given dimension with a stylus and a dimensional in the center. (This technique was shared at Onstage as a case from the talented Connie Collins.)

I attached it to a simple gift box and then I was stumped as to what to put in it.

Grateful Bunch 3 Stampin365

It kept me awake one night until it hit me:

I could make washi tape hair clips for my niece who simply adores clips!

The idea was so exciting, I could hardly wait to try it. Here’s what I came up with. what do you think?

Washi Tape Hair Clips 4 Stampin365

The Botanical Builder Framelits are perfect for adorable little girl’s clips, and washi tape makes them stronger than cardstock alone. The retiring Cherry On Top washi tape is just right for these fun, bright clips. (And it was still available when I checked.)

Washi Tape Hair Clips 3 Stampin365

The set below combines the Blossom Bunch Punch and the Botanical Builder Framelits.

Washi Tape Hair Clips 2 Stampin365

These washi tape hair clips are really quite easy. Just place rows of washi tape on whisper white cardstock and run it through your Big Shot. The Big Shot Die Brush makes removing the smaller pieces as easy as pie.

Thanks for stoping by today. It’s so much fun to share my ideas with you. I hope you feel inspired to create some beautiful May flowers of your own.

Now it’s time to go see what Rachel Grandin-Torchet has created to inspire you.

Gift Card Holder Taupe Stampin365

Hi friends, how are you today?

Here is another one of my Onstage display in Tip Top Taupe featuring the upcoming Thoughtful Banners stamp set and punch available when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog comes out on June 1st.

I also used the gorgeous new In Color ribbon and thick white baker’s twine, both of which you will really enjoy working with.

Gift Card Holder Taupe 2 Stampin365

If you are new here, you my be wondering where the butterfly comes from. It’s the Botanical Blooms flower with one petal snipped out. One day I realized the petals look like a butterfly if you remove one. Such a simple way to extend the use of your dies!

You can find the dimensions for the gift card holder here on Malena’s blog. Thank you Malena!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Until next time…

Saying Goodbye To Some Favorites- Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Miss You Card Stampin365.com

Hello friends and welcome to another Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. I’m so glad you’re here!

This week is our “Open” project so I decided to pair the Helping Me Grow stamp set with some of my favorite retiring products.

The Sparkle and Shine stamp set, which has these darling raindrops, is perfect for baby showers, spring cards, or a miss you card like mine. I embossed them in clear and watercolored in Marina Mist over the top. The Miss You stamp is also from that great set.

Next comes my hardest goodbye. EVER. The Typeset dsp. Isn’t it pretty in the lid of the jar?

And what about the seam binding ribbon? I’m really going to miss it’s gorgeous texture!

Another favorite is the Cherry On Top washi tape. The yellow, along with more Typeset dsp, helps to make the inside of my card more special.

The Shine On dsp and the tea lace doilies are another sad goodbye. If you love creating boxes and other 3D projects, the Shine On dsp is perfect because it is thicker and holds up beautifully.

So there you have it. A sentimental little miss you gift set full of products I’m going to miss. If any of these are on your list of favorites, you better scoop them up quick, before they are gone for good! (I just checked and everything is still available.)

Onstage Display- Thoughtful Banners

Gift Card Holder- Graduation 2 Stampin365

Hello dear friends! How are you today?

Here is another project from my Onstage displays featuring the new stamp set Thoughtful Banners. This set will be available as a bundle with an awesome punch starting June 1, when the new catalog comes out, and it is so very versatile!

Gift Card Holder- Graduation Stampin365

Tips and Tricks:

You can really make a sentiment pop by embossing it in white on black cardstock and then cutting it out.

Those awesome number dies are not retiring, so if you need graduation gifts, this would be fun to make in the school colors of your graduate.

These easy gift card holders have a tutorial, created by Malena, which you can find here. Thank you Malena!

Sadly, the word window punch retired and is now sold out. If you do not have that punch, don’t worry, though. These would look just as nice with only the circle punch.

I used several upcoming products including the fabulous new in color ribbon and the awesome new foam strips, which are perfect for the banners and mean no more cutting up dimensionals.

Sneak Peak Products:

Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Bundle 142330

Thick Whisper White Baker’s Twine 141688

5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon In Watermelon Wonder 141433

Thoughtful Banners Gift Card Holder For Baby

Gift Card Holder Mint 2 Stampin365

Hi friends! How are you today?

Here is another one of my display projects for Onstage, a baby shower gift card holder in Mint Macaron.

Gift Card Holder Mint Stampin365

I created five different gift card holders using the new Thoughtful Banners stamp set, each for a different occasion.

For the pattern, I did a google search and found the measurements on http://www.scrapsandcropps.com. A huge thanks to Malena for the tutorial! Her directions are excellent, so if you would like to make one, go check her out! (On a side note, these use the Word Window Punch, which is no longer available. So sorry! The design would be just as great with only a circle punch where the gift card goes.)

Because I did not have eyelets for the closure like the tutorial showed, I created a belly band with the gorgeous new ribbon coming out in June. Here is my cucumber one so you can see what they look like closed.

I had fun with these and I have a few more to share with you, so be sure to come back tomorrow.

Until then…

Happy stampin’ friends!

Baby Gift Box- Artisan Design Team Hop

Michelle Long April 2016

Welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop- I’m so glad you’re here!

Our delightful assignment for today included the gift box punch board and a “Perfect Packaging” theme for babies, brides or moms, so for my project, I chose to make a baby girl gift box.

The Circle of Spring wreath and the adorable bunny from the Made With Love stamp set go together so well.

Baby Gift Box 2 Stampin365.com

The bunny is perfect for watercoloring, but for the wreath, I had better luck with blender pens. In both cases, I used ink squished into the lid of my stamp pads and watercolor paper.

I added a Blushing Bride lid to the Shine On box base and silver foil doilies to give it a bit more shine. Now I’m all set for an upcoming baby shower gift!

Shine On Notecard Holder-Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Shine On Notecard Holder

Hello friends! Welcome to another hop around the world with the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. Be sure to visit all 20 designers so you don’t miss a thing.

For today’s project, we had the fun task of creating something with the Shine On designer Series Paper, which is one of my favorite Occasions Catalog items this year. I love that the paper is thicker than cardstock and makes wonderful 3D projects. I also love the vibrant colors and shiny elements against the craft background. So pretty!

Shine On Notecard Holder 2

Another Occasions Catalog item that I am just crazy about is the Balloon Celebration stamp set. With it’s adorable hand-drawn balloons, it’s just so perfect for anyone who, like me, lacks in drawing skills. I used it to create fun, single layer note cards and then designed this little Shine On note card holder to perfectly fit a set of four.

To create the note card holder, you will need:

-One 12″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Shine On dsp, scored at 4″, 4 1/4″, 8″, and 8 1/4″.

-Two 1 1/4″ x 3 5/8″ side pieces scored at 1/2″ and 3/4″.

-Medium sized Enveloped Liner Framelits Die.

-A 5 1/2″ x 7 3/4″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 3 3/4″ and 4″

Shine On Notecard Holder 9

For the top end, run the die half way through and then back it out. Do not run the die all the way through your Big Shot, or the paper will be cut in half.

Shine On Notecard Holder 10

Then, for the bottom end, turn both the cardstock and the die around and run it through your Big Shot again.

Shine on Notecard Holder 11

For the side pieces, I prefer multipurpose glue because it has some give and can slide into place before it dries. If any gets on your project, you can easily remove it with the Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Remover. (One of the best inventions ever!)

Shine On Notecard Holder 12

A small amount of the side pieces will show. Remove them with your paper snips.

Shine On Notecard Holder 14

Run the liner through your Big Shot with the medium envelope die (half way through and then back it out or you’ll cut the end off) and add it to the inside of the holder with multipurpose glue.

Shine On Notecard Holder 15

For the belly band, wrap a two inch wide piece of coordinating Shine On dsp around the holder, secure it with multipurpose glue, and tie it with the luscious Watermelon Wonder ribbon from the Occasions catalog. I just love the bright, cheery colors together and the simplicity of the single layer notecards. This would make a fun hostess gift or birthday present.

These note card holders are so fun to make, I just had to create another one. What do you think?
