A Sneak Peak: Thankful Forest Friends

Thankful Forest Friends Baby Card Close Up

Hi friends!

Today I have a fun sneak peak for you from the new Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog. This stamp set is called Thankful Forest Friends and it was designed for fall and Thanksgiving, but when I saw the adorable little bunny for the first time, I just knew I had to stamp him in pink.

I added him to the inside, too. Isn’t he just the cutest little guy?

The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches, one of my favorite challenge blogs.

When I saw this sketch I just knew it was the one for my little pink bunny friend. What do you think?

A Baby Card For Freshly Made Sketches

Baby Card For FMS

Have you been over to Freshly Made Sketches lately? Tuesday I woke up to find I had been selected as one of their “Perfect Princesses” and I could not have been more thrilled! I just love all of the beautiful ideas the designers have each week, not to mention the new sketch challenge. Here is this week’s sketch by Amy:

I especially loved this sketch because I am not very good at placing things at an angle, so it was nice to go outside my comfort zone. I ended up loving how the dsp looks at an angle. I will be using this style again!

One thing I find interesting is that I thought of placing the hearts going across the card and created it yesterday before seeing a gorgeous card on the challenge today that uses the same idea, but going the other direction. Can you spot which one I’m referring to? That has happened to me more than once. In fact, once I created a card that was so similar to another card someone else created (without seeing their card first) that I decided not to enter it in the challenge. Hopefully this one is different enough to still enter!

Sweet Baby Pink

Sweet Baby Pink

Yesterday I posted my “Sweet Baby Blue” card, but I just couldn’t resist making a girl version!  The soft pink pirouette and embossed silver moon are the perfect way to welcome a new little baby girl.

Sweet Baby Blue

Sweet Baby Blue Card

When I first saw the crescent moon stamp in the new stamp set “Pictogram Punches,” I immediately thought it would make a cute baby card. I had fun pairing it with the itty bitty accents star punch and the polka dot designer series paper.  For added interest, I embossed the moon in silver. What do you think?
