This lovely sketch by Karren leaves me with so many ideas:

FMS 177

Here in Oregon, all of the trees are in full bloom and putting on quite the show, so this Indescribable Gift stamp just seems like a must. I stamped it in Crisp Cantaloupe on vellum and then used a sponge dauber to add some color to the center of each blossom on the back of the vellum, which gives a gives a soft effect. I have also seen other stampers use white embossing powder on vellum for this stamp -GORGEOUS!

Easter is one of my favorite times of the year and I was happy to see that Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges blog has a challenge to create an Easter card, so I am joining them today, as well. If you haven’t been over to their blog, be sure to check them out!

Happy stampin’ friends!

Challenge Fun

Cupcake Card

Have you spent time on any of the Stampin’ Up! challenge blogs? These blogs have excellent ideas for layouts, color combinations, themes, and more. Today’s card was inspired by two fabulous blog challenges. One is from www.fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com. I just love this blog, run by some mighty talented fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. Here is their sketch:

The second challenge comes from another favorite of mine: www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com. If you haven’t yet, you should go visit both of these blogs! Here is the “cute as a button” challenge from the oh so talented paper players:

Go see the amazing cards the designers have created, along with all of the beautiful challenge entries. It’s so fun to see how each person interprets the challenge.

Tips:

Stampin’ Up! designer series paper is awesome. I love to have it on hand for adding a perfectly coordinated touch to my cards.

The cupcake builder punch is my go to item when I want to effortlessly add a bit of fun to cards or gift tags.

Sadly, the designer buttons on this card are no longer available- I apologize. This card just needed a little something more and I’m trying to use up what I have left of retired products.
