Baby Gift Box- Artisan Design Team Hop

Michelle Long April 2016

Welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop- I’m so glad you’re here!

Our delightful assignment for today included the gift box punch board and a “Perfect Packaging” theme for babies, brides or moms, so for my project, I chose to make a baby girl gift box.

The Circle of Spring wreath and the adorable bunny from the Made With Love stamp set go together so well.

The bunny is perfect for watercoloring, but for the wreath, I had better luck with blender pens. In both cases, I used ink squished into the lid of my stamp pads and watercolor paper.

I added a Blushing Bride lid to the Shine On box base and silver foil doilies to give it a bit more shine. Now I’m all set for an upcoming baby shower gift!

Wrapping Gifts With DSP

DSP Present

Happy Monday!

Several weeks ago, I found myself needing to wrap a Christmas gift, but I had not purchased any bows yet and I was house bound with our two year old who was recovering from surgery. What to do?!?

As I pondered this question, I realized I had everything I needed in my craft room. I cut DSP into quarter inch strips, curled them with my bone folder, and stapled them in the middle with my stapler.

I then used my gift box punch board and a 12 x 12 piece of DSP to create the box, added a strip of Coordinating DSP and the curly bow on top, and I was finished. DSP to the rescue!

I don’t know about you, but I always have unused DSP in my craft room, and a reusable gift box and matching curly bow seems like a great way to share it with others instead of hoarding it for myself! (Am I the only one with that problem?)

“…but the righteous gives and does not hold back.” Proverbs 21:26

This giving season, I wish you much love, peace and happiness. Merry Christmas and thanks for stopping by.
