Oh, Goodie!

Num Num

The Stampin’ Up! holiday carryover has a very cute set that includes the stamp I used on this fun and easy donut card. It’s called “Oh, Goodie!” and I was thrilled to receive the set as a free gift last year at the 2013 Stampin’ Up! convention. It has come in handy for several different occassions. Here is the inside of the card:

And here are some goodie bags I made last Valentine’s day with a different stamp from the same set:

XOXO

Cute, right? That’s one of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up! So many cute stamps- but this set is only available until August 27th.  After that, new stamps will be available, but this set will be gone forever!

Red & Green Ornament Keepsakes

Christmas Card

I love the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set so much, I had to create this card again in traditional red and green.  With the Holiday Ornaments Framelits dies, this card was so quick and easy.

Ornament Keepsakes

Blue Christmas Card

My Christmas in July week was happily interrupted by some very special birthdays. More to come on those projects! Today’s card was so very fun to create. Usually, I prefer traditional red and green for Christmas, but it’s always fun to go in a different direction. What do you think?

Joyful Christmas

Poinsettia Card

Today is day one of my “Christmas in July” series, and happiness does not begin to describe how I felt when this stamp set was part of the holiday carryover. I just love poinsettias, and this one is typical Stampin’ Up! style, absolutely gorgeous. I had fun using the Heat and Stick Powder along with Stampin’ Glitter in gold. This was my first time to try it, and I’m hooked! I just love the extra sparkle glitter offers.

Directions:

The poinsettia was stamped twice with versa mark on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, sprinkled with Heat and Stick Powder, heated with my heat tool, and then sprinkled with the glitter. The excess glitter is easily removed with a soft brush. After that, I cut out the inner circle of poinsettia leaves on one and the outer circle of leaves on the other and attached them together with a dimensional. The same process applies to the green leaves, which were done on Garden Green Cardstock.

The sentiment, which is part of the Joyful Christmas stamp set, was embossed in gold. The scalloped border punch, seen on the red piece, is very easy to use. To make sure the sides are evenly matched, punch one edge and then turn it upside down and punch the other edge, starting in the exact same place as you did on the first side. Sadly, the embossing folder I used for the script background is no longer available- sorry!

Supplies:

These beautiful holiday carryover items will only be available until August 27th.  After that, the new holiday catalog will be released and they will be gone forever.  So sad- get them while you can!
